Dr. Alexie Tcheuyap of the University of Toronto and Dr. Abdoulaye Gueye of University of Ottawa organized the IPTSA conference, Terrorism & Media in Africa: Issues, Policies and Challenges hosted by Elmsley Hall, University of Toronto. This two day conference presented the works of researchers invited from several international institutions, from Africa, Europe and North America on the topic of media and its connections with ideologically motivated violence. The day following this well attended and lively conference, research partners met at the Harriet Tubman Institute, York University to renew communications, and explore the present outcomes of the project’s efforts.
